Ministry of Online Sports Founds the National Esports League

Valdoria has no stadium. It has something better: a leaderboard.

VALDORIA — The Ministry of Online Sports has announced the founding of the National Esports League.

"A nation without territory cannot host a World Cup," the Minister conceded. "But a nation of the network can host a season."

Tournaments are open to all citizens. Results feed the national leaderboard, and the highest-ranked players are eligible for selection to the Valdorian national squad.

The Republic of Valdoria is a cultural and artistic project. It is not recognized as a sovereign state by any government. Its citizenships, titles, documents, and tokens are novelty and entertainment items only and confer no legal rights, nationality, immigration status, or financial value.
