Honours of the University are conferred by its Senate and entered in the University Register. A citizen may request this honour, or nominate another citizen for it. It is an honorary and ceremonial distinction of Valdoria — a real honour of the Republic, sealed upon a certificate — and is not an accredited academic qualification and confers no academic or professional standing.
